Good Afternoon everyone
The following is an update on the statement by government concerning “Respite care”
For those of you that have your “gnspes” email you may already have received the message from the employer.
The province is considering modifying existing polices and agreements that would allow TA’S and Child and Youth care Practitioners in our system to “VOLUNTARY” provide paid Respite care within the community.
The employer is taking steps to explore this as a possible opportunity for Education sector staff.
This will not have any impact on the commitments of being paid for the work from home leave we are on now.
It also has to be approved by Public Health.
