Update April 7, 2020

Hi everyone, hope all is well.
Just wanted to drop by and let you know myself and your Executive are still available to call if you have questions or concerns.
As you know we have had our first death from Covid-19. Our condolences to the family.
Please take care of yourselves and follow the rules, we all want to come out of this and get our lives back.
Just to recap
We still have a skeleton crew working in some of our buildings, the ones that are open and any emergencies that arise during the closure. Custodians are also checking their buildings a couple of times a week to make sure there are no issues and our Bus Garages are doing bus inspections now after a temporary closure after the last inspections were completed.
Anyone that was being paid after the March break will still be paid until May 1st.
If you have a claim open just claim your hours and the money as you normally would.
Capitol projects will be going forward and all precautions directed by Public Health will be followed by the contractors and custodians who will give them access to the building if required.
As well grade 10 and 11 students and teachers will have access to the schools this week to get what they need to continue learning. This will be done by appointment only and it’s get what you need and leave, the same process that was followed a couple of weeks ago for the grade 12 students and teachers.
There is no information as to what will happen beyond May 1st. When that is available I will post it here.
Be safe
Denise
