Please review the information below from the Nova Scotia School Board Council of Unions. Your pins will be arriving at your site on Monday or Tuesday. We are hoping for a good turnout and lots of participation!

- Solidarity actions in schools (all locals)

- When: Every WEDNESDAY starting January 15
- Who: all members
- What: Members will wear black and wear CUPE School Support Worker pins
- Why: To show solidarity in bargaining process – members are mourning the loss of fair collective bargaining and as a result, fair wages and violence free workplaces
- Information Picket (L.5047 – primarily)

- When: Friday January 31st 1pm – 3pm
- Where: Outside of Brendan Maguire’s constituency office (349 Herring Cove rd. Suite C Halifax)
- What: Members will assemble outside office to distribute report card flyer (previously prepared and to be provided), have conversations with public regarding current bargaining cycle and priorities
- Who: Primarily L.5047 members (though open to other local members)
- Why: target the current Minister EECD, have public conversations.
- Rally (all locals)

- When: Saturday February 8th 1-3pm
- Who: all members
- What: all members attending rally to raise awareness about key bargaining issues such as need to address violence in schools and negotiate equitable, fair wage increases for education workers. Funeral procession to mourn death of free collective bargaining,
- Where: Grand Parade Square, downtown Halifax
- Why: To build public support and awareness on bargaining priorities, achieve bargaining goals, apply pressure on funder/employers to be empowered to adequately address bargaining goals.
